Who is a good candidate for microblading?

A microblading treatment is for individuals in the San Francisco, CA area who want a more defined or fuller shape for their eyebrows that can last and look natural. Most patients at Infinite Health Zone who undergo microblading usually have slender eyebrows that need to look fuller or have small areas that they wish to fill in. Thin eyebrows or bald spots may be caused by genetics, surgical scars, overplucking, injuries, nutritional deficiencies, and aging. Compared to cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows, microblading creates a natural-looking result, providing total coverage or filling in small areas of the brows. Microblading may also be used to add a slight arch to the brows for a different shape. The best candidates are in overall good health, are not pregnant, and do not have high blood sugar levels since this can affect the healing process.

What happens during microblading treatment?

Before your microblading appointment, you will have an initial consultation to look over the appearance of your brows. Depending on the condition of your eyebrows and your specific goals, a unique plan of treatment will be created for your microblading session. The procedure will be done in our San Francisco, CA office with local anesthesia or numbing cream to minimize any discomfort. Based on how much treatment is being done, the microblading procedure can take anywhere from an estimated 1 – 3 hours. To start the process, your brows will be combed and expertly trimmed. Your eyebrows will then be marked with a makeup pen, which will act as an indicator for where the microblading will be performed. Infinite Health Zone selects professional-quality inks to give you natural-looking strokes that mimic your natural brow hair for best results.

Dr. A is the best! He did my first Botox treatment at his Jackson Hole location and I cannot recommend him enough. He spent a lot of time providing education about the benefits of the treatment and what to expect, which made me feel at ease and more comfortable. Also, I experienced very mild discomfort during the procedure and no discomfort or bruising after. He said I could expect to see results in one week, but honestly I noticed improvement in my neck the next day. Dr. A is so good that clients would travel from Jackson Hole to see him at his office in San Francisco. I am so happy he is now practicing in WY. Book him - you will not be disappointed!!

Meeting Dr. A was a beautiful experience. His ability to put me at ease exceeded none. His recommended drip therapy was just what was needed to take care of the debilitating dehydration I was experiencing. I hope he will be able to squeeze me in for a rejuvenation++ program. Many thanks, Dr. A. Susie Pfau

Dr. A saved my lips and smile this week! I had some poorly placed filler from a different provider that gave me several nodules/bumps and he was able to almost painlessly dissolve the filler so my lips are much healthier now and smooth. I have had filler dissolved in the past with other providers and it can be very painful and stingy and Dr. A was able to make this procedure as comfortable as possible. I barely felt the pricks. He’s very caring, professional, highly skilled and has a wonderful eye for aesthetics. He’s also very fun to talk to and down to earth. I completely trust him with my face and highly recommend him. I will go back for Botox and Juvederm appointments in the future. Cute office too! Very earthy and modern! You automatically feel like you are in a beautiful jungle oasis escaping the busy city feel without leaving the city. Thank you again Dr. A!!

You may have mild redness around the treated areas, but this typically goes away in 1 – 2 hours. Your brows will look darker immediately after your treatment, but they will fade to your goal color in around two weeks. Our Infinite Health Zone team suggests that you schedule a second appointment about a month following your initial treatment to finalize and touch up your eyebrows. How should I prepare for my microblading treatment?

Before you visit Infinite Health Zone for your microblading treatment, it is recommended that you get an idea of the shape and color you desire for your eyebrows. Having a picture to use as a visual would be ideal. A photo can show us a representation of your favored shape; that being said, you must not have your eyebrows tinted, threaded, shaped, or waxed during the three days before your treatment. We request that you don't get BOTOX® for at least two weeks before your treatment so we can make your brows symmetrical. Our San Francisco, CA team might also offer further advice on preparing for your treatment during your consultation.

Will my eyebrows be shaved off before my microblading treatment?

We wish to work with as much of your current hair as possible, so we will not shave your brows. We may pull out hair that is past the borders of your treatment zone but will do so with your clearance before doing so.

What is the difference between microblading and micropigmentation?

Microblading is a sort of micropigmentation. Despite that, while micropigmentation employs a permanent makeup machine, a microblade creates individual hair strokes during microblading. This allows for more adaptions and authentic and artful outcomes.
